There was lots of buzz at the Austin Gay and Lesbian Pride Picnic this year about the new Techie Pride organization. Since it's founding, it's existed merely as a website and a mailing list, but that's about to change.
We are going to begin meeting on the first Thursday of each month at The Forum. Presumably, we will flirt with each other and talk about geeky stuff. And fall in love. Or give each other jobs. Or something. I don't know WHAT we're going to do, but I'm not one to miss a happy hour, so I'll be there. If you are a gay IT professional, or think you might be, feel free to stop by on this coming Thursday evening.
