Honolulu? Not Austin?

The University of Texas at Austin has been a long-time bastion of Apple products, despite the dominant local presence of Dell. And, hell, Austin is generally regarded as progressive and tech-savvy, to boot. So why is Honolulu getting an Apple Store before we do? Why has Apple decided to bypass Austin for Plano? Should I cave in to pressure and buy my next machine from local wunderkind Dell? After all, the last time I got pissed at Apple, I bought a machine from Power Computing. After that, they regained my confidence, and I bought a G4 Tower. But now that I don't have the cloning option, their avoidance of the most progressive city in Texas may force me to change my allegience completely. It sure as hell would make telecommuting easier.
