Just when I think there is nothing else he could do to piss me off, Shrub does it again. Now he's appointed a former Bob Jones University staffer to his Presidential Advisory Commission on HIV and AIDS.
According to the Washington Post, Jerry Thacker (the knuckle-dragging troglodyte Dubya picked) has described homosexuality as a "deathstyle" rather than a lifestyle and asserted that "Christ can rescue the homosexual." After word of his selection spread among gays in recent days, some material disappeared from the Web site. Earlier versions located by The Washington Post that referred to the "gay plague," for instance, were changed as of yesterday to "plague." At least he's HIV-positive right? There's a plus in his column.
Some of his Neanderthal writings and speeches have already been censored on the BJU websites, but his bullshit is out there on record. What's wrong George? Wasn't Ann Coulter or Idi Amin available to serve?
Baze mentioned a few times that he was surprised that bellyfuzz kept its puffy purpley look for quite a while. And his bringing it up made me think that, yes, it was probably time to think about changes ... and possibly even improvements.
On the improvements side ... we're posting many more images these days, and a white background always works best for those. Additionally, the images we post may force bellyfuzz to expand to greater widths than it may have been designed for (David's recent post about the Nike ad is a good example of this). So, I've tried to create a design that accomodates images, no matter their size or color, to a more pleasant degree.
On a more prurient note, I've incorporated imagery that vividly reflects the bellyfuzz moniker. But I don't want to deter our members from visiting the site, so if you find it too overt, please let me know about the problem and I'll experiment with tuning it down.
