HBO's "SIX FEET UNDER" might just be the best show on television right now. I am consistently blown away by the stories, the characters, the style, sense of humor and direction. It is definitely a show for which I make it a point to be home.

One of the most acclaimed shows of the 2001 season, SIX FEET UNDER takes a darkly comic look at the Fishers, a dysfunctional family who own and operate an independent funeral home in Los Angeles (so says the HBO website). It was created and is executive produced by Alan Ball, of American Beauty fame, who writes and directs episodes periodically. Check it out on HBO on Sundays at 8:00 or Wednesdays at 9:00 when the same episode re-runs.

The new season of "Six Feet Under" starts next Sunday, March 3rd at 8:00pm, and this premiere episode runs again on Wednesday, March 6th at 9:00pm. It's a great time to pick up watching this show if it's escaped your attention thus far. You'll never look at funerals (or families) the same way again.
